Bare knuckle boxing

It’s official. The Blog has been neglected this week.
My thirteen year son old took a swipe at this fourteen year old brother last week and connected.
Fortunately for the fourteen year old he has a thick skull. Unfortunate for the thirteen year old. He broke a bone in his hand.
Six days now of doctor’s surgeries, x-ray departments and the children’s hospital.
They operate on his hand tomorrow to insert a pin. No basket-ball for three months. Worse than death.
A tip from a doctor—next time hit your brother in the stomach. It’s softer.
Highlight: sitting in the emergency ward as hours passed by. Watching the people who came in for treatment—African, Turkish, Chinese, Aussie-Anglo, even French. A United Nations of injured and sick children and concerned parents. Sensing something of God’s love for the whole human family.
Christ came for them.
