From: Christian Missions: The Challenge of the Twenty-First Century by James D. Chancellor
http://www.sbts.edu/resources/publications/sbjt/1999/1999Spring6.pdf

A very thoughtful article and one surprising statistic:

Over ninety percent of all Protestant
Christians will be Pentecostal and Charismatic
by the end of the next century. The
movement is also making deep inroads in
the Anglican and Roman Catholic traditions
as well. The sheer force of numbers
will give this movement the power to
redefine the Faith for the future. They
might well come to see non-Charismatics
as we now look on much of the German
Protestant establishment today: solid
institutions, great libraries, and good
scholars, but little spiritual insight and
not really connected to the true life of
the Church.
