Trinidad legacy

What a day. I’ve just met Edith who has celebrated 50 years of ministry in Trinidad. Fifty years since she planted her first church here.
She’s glad there were no resources for church planters then. She had to learn to trust God.
Here I am with Jason, Darren and Burton, leaders in the first church she planted. Burton is now planting a church in a nearby town.
I love hearing their stories. I love hearing what they are learning. I love their passion for Jesus, His church and for their island nation.
Stayed with Bert and Sonja, two German missionaries who have been here seven years. Their ministry finishes in Trinidad next month. Their legacy, like Edith’s, continues through the lives of younger leaders like Jason, Darren and Burton.
I fly out early tomorrow: Port of Span – San Juan – Miami – Orlando – LAX - Sydney – where I run a two-day workshop on coaching church planters.
Home Thursday night. Tired but happy. Longing to leave a legacy.
