Worldwide gathering

Erwin McManus

The church of Jesus Christ exploded with a lot less than we are imploding with.

Erwin McManus

Back from two weeks in the US for the CRM worldwide gathering. We welcomed CRM UK, Korea, Africa, the Middle East as new CRM entities led by nationals. The Aussies and Hungarians now have some allies in standing up the CRM US juggernaut. The plotting has begun. Sam Metcalf you are warned.

Eric Herron and crew led worship. Nobody does hymns like Eric. Except Van Morrison, but he wasn’t available.

Erwin McManus founder of Mosaic took a couple of sessions. He warmed the hearts of every pioneer and church planter with this insight from I Chron 11:6. Who gets to lead? Whoever (1) is willing to go first and (2) comes back alive. Lesson: when you act, God meets you there.

Looking forward to reading a couple of his books.

CRM has just launched it’s new funky website: www.crmleaders.org

Check out the podcasts: Terry Walling interviewing Steve Roggero on leadership development and leadership transitions or Hugh Halter on Zero church planting.

Bumped into a few NieuCommunites people. Great option if you’re looking for a year that will change your life.

Highlight of the trip? Being with Michelle. LA to San Francisco via the coast, followed by watching her launch into her new calling as CRM Australia’s organizational leader. I’ll still be leading the ministry overall. She’s a natural. Nice to see God’s timing for us both. I’m ready now to focus on fueling church planting movements everywhere. Writing, speaking, networking, training, recruiting, coaching apostolic leaders.

Here in Australia we’re believing God for a 1000 new churches. If you share that calling, let me know.

Is there any audio of Erwin’s message available? I listen to his weekly podcast and would love to get hold of the stuff you heard.

please pray for the funding of our recording project from our time in Santa Barbara. we recorded everything and plan to make available a 10-12 song CD by Sept. 1st.

if you were near one of the crowd mics, I hope you sang well.

    steve,
‘Here in Australia we’re believing God for a 1000 new churches’
I get excited by this sort of language, although I like how Neil Cole interchanges ‘Church’ with ‘Congregations’.

I’d be interested in the mp3 as well.

Eric, great to hear you’re putting out a conference CD. How can people access your stuff? Is there a link? iTunes store?

Our past CD’s of worship music are available on-line at our Unkept Records “store”. Click the web-site link on this comment.

By September 1st, we will have the new CD on there and we are attempting to put together an mp3 store like iTunes so that people can browse and purchase individuals songs to be used in their congregations, too. Probably have this up by early Autumn (U.S.).

    thanks for asking!
