Newsweek magazine’s Great Debate between Rick Warrren and atheist Sam Harris: The God Debate.
I would have liked Rick to steer the debate back to the person and work of Jesus more strongly. Although this may be an edited version.
After reading Alister McGrath’s Twilight of Atheism, I’m not sure that God believes in atheists any more.
Firstly, the name is “Sam Harris” not “Sam Davis”. Secondly, what on earth does it mean for an omniscient being to not believe in millions of its supposed creations. Why not provide a counter-argument against Harris’s critique instead of merely saying something that doesn’t make any sense.
Sam, thanks for visiting. My apologies for not getting your name right. I’ll make sure to fix it. Good point on my throw away line re God and atheists. I appreciate your passion for your cause even though we’ll have to disagree on something as important as the existence of God and His unique revelation through Jesus.
I’m not Sam Harris actually. And even if I were, why do we have to disagree about anything. Isn’t the point of discussing things on a blog supposed to make one more aware of things; and not complacent with the knowledge you already have.
